Psalm 97 : 9-12

9For you, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth;
    you are exalted far above all gods.
10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
    for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
    and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light shines on the righteous
    and joy on the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous,
    and praise his holy name.

This psalm reminds us of the greatness of our God and his majesty without limits. Although it does not stop describing his sovereign power, it also describes the natural behavior of a true believer. We as followers of Jesus Christ are defined as being in the world however, we do not belong to this world. We do not like what most of people are doing and we reject and hate the evil practices of the world and we find great joy in being different. We want to live according to the image of Christ and obtain all of his qualities, which we find in his word (the bible). So when we love the Lord, we acquire a new nature with a new heart and new desires. We love to put Jesus first in all that we do and think. We know that if we are faithful and choose to honor God with complete obedience, He is faithful to cover us with his blessings. Our Lord gives us his protection and blessing over our lives so we that can be safe  and confident without fear of anything.

Finally as we grow in righteousness we will not stop praising all the good that He is and does for his creation. I encourage you to take the time and respond in love to the one who first loved you. Giving his own life so that you who believe in his name do not perish but live for eternity! This is an Amazing gift of Love that should not be taken for granted.
